Try to survive, in the darkness…

When the lights go out, everything changes. No streetlights, no humming power grid, just silence and darkness. Your first reflex: find a light source. A flashlight, candle, or even a phone with a full battery can make all the difference.

Water and food

Refrigerators stop working, water pumps stop. Within hours, you realize how dependent you are. Prepare small supplies that can be used without electricity: bottled water, canned food, dry food.

đź’ˇExtra tip: Always keep freezers and refrigerators closed. Every time you open them, you lose cold air. By keeping them closed, the contents will remain usable for longer.

Surviving in the darkness

Prolonged darkness makes you a target. People become desperate, and chaos quickly ensues. Keep doors closed, move as little as possible, and conserve your energy.

đź’ˇExtra tip: Always keep a power bank or a set of batteries in a separate place. Even a single charged lamp can give you a sense of security during the first few nights.

Did you know?

The largest power outage ever occurred on July 30 and 31, 2012, in India. More than 620 million people—almost 9% of the world's population at the time—were left without electricity. Trains came to a standstill, hospitals had to switch to emergency power, and entire cities were completely shut down.
